The dark knight review. The dark knight rises bane. The dark knight reese. The dark knight rises. Alright, first let me go about saying that I saw the 1989 Batman and thoroughly enjoyed Jack Nicholson's Joker. Then this film came out. This Joker was much different than any other character I have ever seen. Those of you who say things like "he had no back story" or "no motives at all. Let me just say that most great villains have no back story and are enjoyed, such as last year's Anton Chigurh from "No Country For Old Men." Heath Ledger, who I really did not know much about prior to the film, did most likely one of the best jobs I ever saw in film. He was scary and just, all-around creepy. Also, last I checked, the Joker is an anarchist, so those of you that say "he has no motives" that was the point Christopher Nolan had in mind. Everybody else did great jobs in their roles, Christian Bale did great as Batman/Bruce Wayne; the only complaint I have is his chain smoker voice as batman, but it wasn't that bad. Everybody else did great jobs in this movie, including Aaron Eckhart and Gary Oldman. All in all, I think this film should get Heath an Oscar, and I get severely annoyed by people bashing this film and saying that Jack's joker was better. The Joker's are not capable of being compared, Jack did a great job being the campy joker and Ledger did well as the schizophrenic clown in "The Dark Knight. They are two different Jokers, so stop comparing them so harshly. However, I personally prefer Heaths, and his will be a Joker who will be quoted for years to come. 10/10.
